Raw Materials University Day 2017 - Poland

Ms. Joanna Świtoń, a KGHM CUPRUM researcher, presented her talk ("Project VirtualMine - as a modeling tool for Wider Society Learning") as our contribution to the Raw Materials University Day hosted by the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, on September 25th, 2017. The lecture dealt with the project work plan and its implementation. Special attention was devoted to 3D multimedia applications dedicated to children and youth, which are to be the key element of the exhibition and educational program about mining.

PhD. Luca Piovano, a CeDInt researcher of the Virtual Reality and Visual Analytics group, presented his talk ("Virtual and Augmented Reality experiences in mining and other fields") as our contribution to the Raw Materials University Day hosted by the Mining and Energy Engineering School of Madrid. The lecture dealt with the experience of the group in the Virtual and Augmented reality technologies and the possibilities to apply such approaches to the mining field (as intended in the Virtual Mine project).
